Financial Assistance

  • Fellowship Amount
    • ₹31,000 – For first 2 years.
    • ₹35,000 – For next 3 years.
  • Tenure – Up to 5 years.
  • Additional Benefits – Research grants and resources of the respective institutions.

Fellowship Amount

  • Junior Research Fellowship (JRF): ₹37,000 per month for the first 2 years.
  • Senior Research Fellowship (SRF): ₹42,000 per month for the remaining period (after evaluation).

Contingency Grant

  • For Humanities & Social Sciences:
    • ₹10,000 per annum for JRF
    • ₹20,500 per annum for SRF
  • For Science Scholars:
    • ₹12,000 per annum for JRF
    • ₹25,000 per annum for SRF

Housing Rent Allowance (HRA)

  • Hostel Accommodation: Candidates staying in university hostels can claim hostel fees (excluding mess, electricity, and water charges).
  • Self-arranged accommodation: HRA is provided as per Government of India norms, based on city categorization.
